BORROWED FUTURE

CONTENT
It was once said: “We did not inherit our future from our ancestors, we have borrowed it from our children.”
In a world where accountability is becoming quite a rare thing, we can ask ourselves, what kind of world and future are we leaving for our children? A world where war is currently a lucrative business and the political will is not there to end it. A time where the future of our planet is at stake and it is being questioned by people who can make a difference because of their power.
In these works, I am using the silhouettes of children from war-torn countries to illustrate what we are already doing to our descendants.
